Mr. Aube joined Pine Brook in July 2011 and is responsible for managing Pine Brook's energy investing activities. Mr. Aube is a director of Stonegate Production Company, LLC.

Mr. Aube has over 21 years of experience in the energy business. He joined the firm from D.E. Shaw & Company, a multi-strategy global investment firm with approximately $19 billion of capital under management, where he was a managing director responsible for co-managing the firm’s North American private equity effort. Previously, Mr. Aube was a partner with J.P. Morgan Partners, a multi-billion dollar private equity firm affiliated with JPMorgan Chase, where he focused on growth equity and buyout investments in the energy and industrial sectors. Earlier in his career, he was a partner with the Beacon Group, an investment and advisory firm. Mr. Aube has served on the boards of several energy companies, including Bill Barrett Corp., Capstone Turbine Corp., FirstWind Corp., Latigo Petroleum and Proton Energy Systems.

Mr. Aube holds a B.A. from Dartmouth College.
