Mr. Ballen joined Pine Brook in January 2011 and is a vice president on the financial services investment team.

Mr. Ballen came to Pine Brook from Bain Capital, where he spent three years focusing on growth equity, buyout and venture investments in early-stage companies across all industries. Mr. Ballen began his career at Bear Stearns, where he was a member of the firm’s financial institutions investment banking practice.

Mr. Ballen holds a B.A. (with highest honors) from Emory University.
