Common Resources, L.L.C. (“Common”) is a Houston-based start-up oil and gas exploration and production company led by Roger Jarvis, Chairman and CEO, Elliott Pew, President and COO, and Robert Snell, CFO, to focus on the development of non-conventional resource plays in the domestic onshore basins of the Gulf Coast, West Texas, and Mid-Continent. Mr. Jarvis led one of the most successful independent exploration and production companies in the Gulf of Mexico during the last decade, Spinnaker Exploration Company, which he founded in 1996 along with Howard Newman and Michael McMahon.

Early in its business evolution, Common Resources captured acreage in emerging areas of unconventional oil and gas properties and utilized sophisticated geophysical and engineering techniques to prove up large parts of its acreage.  The Company’s drilling techniques resulted in consistent improvement in well performance, and its acreage was considered to be in a “core” location in one of the premier domestic shale plays and thus was attractive to larger industry participants.

Common Resources was sold in May 2010.
