Aurigen Re Capital Limited (“Aurigen”) is a Bermuda-domiciled start-up life reinsurer initially focused on providing mortality reinsurance to Canadian primary life insurers. The Canadian life reinsurance market is the third largest globally and has exhibited strong and stable growth and returns over time.  Three of the four key members of Aurigen’s founding team built ERC Canada into Canada’s third largest life reinsurer, capturing 18% to 20% of the market over a five-year period. Alan Ryder will serve as Aurigen’s CEO.
